Well, that's @RestoreBritain not getting our cross in the box. Just watched about 8 canvassers walk up our road, knock on about 6 doors, then just walk back out. Not even a flyer posted. If you can't be bothered, neither can I. We know it's a Labour safe seat, but come on, try π€¦ββοΈ
@JohnAtherton9@LancsCCMG How could you miss out the mighty metropolis which is Wigan π€£π€£. Can't wait until the gidney days are over. I can then become a member again.
@JosephsGoal@AndyBurnhamGM Breaking news - by election candidate realises he's not a man of the people, so attempts to blag folk by having a photo op with an absolute legend. Some folk have no shame. Only shock is, the other photo op MP isn't barging her way in π€£π€£.
@Toffeewolfie@WiganWarriorsRL@networkrail I get the northern thing for Magic Weekend (which should be scrapped) and the GF, but this is a chance to fill a ground and see a cup being won.
@Toffeewolfie@WiganWarriorsRL@networkrail But that doesn't grow the game. Also, if it's Lancs v Yorks, then someone travels farther/longer than the other. At least in the Midlands, both fans get to travel equalish time/distance, and southern fans get to see it without the travel chore. Easy access via car/train too π€·ββοΈ
@WiganWarriorsRL@networkrail Why can't the CC Final be in the Midlands? Couple hours commute from the RL heartlands. Couple of hours commute from London. Villa Park will hold 50k next year, so why not? The chance to see a trophy lifted may help neutrals attend, instead of a standard league game, eg magic w/e
@GBNEWS I hope Camilla Tominey was being sarcastic when she said that Lisa Nandy was a Wigan girl. Wigan MP, yes. Has a house in Wigan, yes. Wigan girl, err, no.
So, the "king of the north" becomes my MP. He then goes on to challenge for the top job, and wins. He is now PM. So who acts on Wiganers behalf? 1 is the PM and the other is a front bench minister. Neither will bother with the town, only their roles. Looks like a lose to me π€·ββοΈπ€·ββοΈ
@Heccles94 So, 4 million have emigrated. That's 4 million who have stopped paying into the system. 200k have arrived in that same time. 200k not paying in, only taking out. I wonder why "it's in the news" π€·ββοΈ.
@SportyWigan IMO, we need a definitive first 11 of 16 (those actually good enough to start every week), and about 6 with the talent to step up to 1st team level. This season, we have had a bunch of players who have been shoehorned into the team, regardless of position. A better core is needed
@DonWAFC2@ShirtyMorris If they're all that good, how come they are going down? Surely you look at top 10 L1 teams players, and maybe the odd championship player or few π€·ββοΈ.
@lancscricket I can't even be bothered to read the statement. He's going, and that's good enough for me. As soon as he's gone, I'll be back in touch with the membership department.
