There’s trouble across the West Bank tonight as we gather for the Archbishop’s Christmas Party at St George’s. There have been shootings and deaths on both sides. Some Diocesan clergy have been unable to leave the West Bank to join us tonight because borders have been closed.
We'll be in the Belfry Shopping Centre tomorrow gift wrapping presents for a donation 🛍🎁. Or if you know someone who is going to be spending Christmas Day alone we'll have our guest application forms with us 💌 we still have spaces left 🙂
Archbishop of Jerusalem preaching today in St George’s Cathedral spoke of the suffering of Christians in Syria, in Jerusalem and across the region. In Advent a message of light in the darkness is heard as hope despite many causes to fear. @SouthwarkCofE@churchofengland

Limited resources are more stretched than ever due to US govt’s cuts to UN funding in Palestine and the Hospital’s budget has been cut back too. Whatever your view, this cannot be right. Please inform your MP and support NGOs to get funds directly to the Al Alhi Hospital.
