I've been leading @Demos's Future Public Services Taskforce for the past year.
On Wednesday we launched our blueprint for public service reform alongside @Georgia_Gould, Cabinet Office Minister for public sector reform.

We also published the first major research report on Youth Employment Hubs, with recommendations for building on their success so far.
Hoping to see the Hubs included in the new 'Youth Guarantee Trailblazers' which will be in the White Paper tomorrow.

Excited for publication of the 'Get Britain Working' White Paper tomorrow.
Great to see framing similar to @Demos recommendations - "change in our jobcentres from a one-size-fits-all benefit administration service to a genuine public employment service".
https://t.co/3zVYJTVBWA
And in this report we did in-depth research on people's attitudes and views - their current views of Jobcentres, how they would like to access employment advice/support, etc. - and made recommendations for initial steps govt should take.

The debate around inheritance tax on farms is heating up, but crucial facts and context are often missing
Check out my piece for LabourList on what to know about the changes👇
📢Join us tomorrow as @alexfoxshared and Professor Chris Fox of @mcrmetropolis launch their new essay on why we need a new approach to public sector productivity.
Rounding off our expert panel will be @Thea_Stein from @NuffieldTrust.

New from my colleague @NaemaMalik_ - why we think that Youth Employment Hubs should be part of the government's new strategy, which is due to be set out soon in the 'Get Britain Working' White Paper.
"We believe it is vital that these ‘Trailblazers’ build on the success of existing Youth Employment Hubs."
🖊️@NaemaMalik_ writes about the value of Youth Hubs in supporting young people into employment and why the govt should capitalise on their success➡️https://t.co/24WiIhWddK
The UK is at risk of a lost decade in the labour market.
Employment rate growth in the 2010s has decisively come to an end. OBR's new forecast suggests the 16+ employment rate will be lower in 2030 than it was in 2019.
Lots for the Get Britain Working White Paper to address...

"In a thoughtful paper, the Demos think tank charts the impact of this crisis in local government finances on the social fabric of cities and towns... the result, conclude the paper’s authors, is a vicious cycle of social as well as economic decline."

Thanks to the Guardian for referencing our paper, which was published this week.
