A major new study published today by a panel of Democrats and Republicans ranks states by quality of life. The states at the top aren't the richest, and they don't have the highest tax rates -- although they do seem to do an unusually good job executing policy and sharing the wealth that they create. Often they have opposition parties strong enough to keep ruling parties nervous and effective.
To see which state ranks No. 1 and how your state ranks (slight tease!), here's a gift link: https://t.co/JfjLMfcGDk
The fact that Thomas Massie is fighting for his political life in a Republican primary because he wants pedophiles to face justice is not a good look for the Republican party.
the julius randle experience is so funny to me because it really just boils down to like oh man he's playing like Bad Julius Randle tonight instead of Good Julius Randle fuckkkk that's not good
More of the same rehearsed, stock answers from Trumpâs judiciary nominees. We need judges who are fearless & strong, not spineless & weakâso fearful of Trump that they are unable to say Biden won the 2020 election.
Imagine calling Renee Good and Alex Pretti âdomestic terroristsâ and calling immigrants âanimalsâ then turning around and telling people they need to âtone down their rhetoric.â
When a Democratic lawmaker, her husband and their dog were actually murdered by a MAGAt in Minnesota a Republican senator joked about it...never forget that.
Jaden McDaniels, deadpan delivery, on what worked for the Timberwolves offensively.
Jaden: Go at Jokic, Jamal, all the bad defenders. Tim Hardaway, Cam Johnson, Aaron Gordon, their whole team.â
Q: Theyâre all bad defenders?
Jaden: âYeah, theyâre all bad defenders.â
The U.S. Senate just voted to pollute one of Minnesotaâs most beloved places: the Boundary Waters.
Letâs be clear why: more money for billionaires.
Twin Metals and its parent companies are mega-corporations owned by a billionaire family based in Chile. They have a long track record of pollution and environmental devastation, and despite their assurances that this mining is âsafe,â decades of research show otherwise.
Twin Metals would bring fewer than 750 jobs to the region, with most of its operations being autonomous and remote, but it risks thousands of jobs in tourism and hospitality. The BWCA is the most visited wilderness in America, attracting almost 150,000 tourists and over $80 million in annual spending to the region.
This wonât bring long-term prosperity. It will cost us millions in healthcare and environmental cleanup.
Mining can be done right, only in the right places. This is the wrong type of mine, in the wrong place.
All watersheds are connected. What happens in one place harms another, and pollution near the BWCA will migrate into the BWCA and the surrounding watershed.
Republicans are in the pockets of big corporations that want to threaten our Minnesota heritage and one of the most pristine environments in the nation.
We must take back the U.S. House and overturn this reckless policy.
