I’m flying the #flag of the #Bahamas 🇧🇸 for yesterday’s #IndependenceDay.
On 10th July, 1973, The Bahamas gained independence from the UK and adopted this flag.
The flag is an amalgam of proposals submitted during the contest for a new national flag.

@DonMcintyre70 I saw his interview on Sky at the Makerfield by-election. If Hartlepool can elect a monkey as mayor, why not a dustbin as MP?
My only issue with Count Binface is that Count is not a British title, should be Earl Binface. Farage should go hard on this, it might be his only chance!

I’m flying the #flag the #SolomonIslands 🇸🇧 for yesterday’s #IndependenceDay.
On 7th July, 1978, the Pacific island nation gained independence from Britain 🇬🇧.
The flag was adopted several months earlier, in 1977, replacing a colonial British Blue Ensign.
