We're looking for someone to join the @DigiAcademyCAN team to work on foundational products on digital government in the GC, working with learning design, product management, and multimedia colleagues.
With so much industry spin and so many @bcndp claims, it can be hard to keep the facts straight on old-growth forests in BC.
Join us in just over a week to break down how much is left, what the BC government is (and isn't) doing to protect it:

@allenholub I wanted to buy and learn how to ride this bike for a presentation I was doing pre-pandemic times. Unfortunately I didn’t get any support for my purchase. It is a wonderful example indeed.
@allenholub The first time I saw code written in a way you could read it like plain English was when I was pairing with @ddeaguiar to write some junit tests to fix a few bugs in our codebase. Definitely a much better way to go. I wish more code looked like the second example.
We are on a journey to enhance our services and ways of working, to better serve our citizens. We need senior leaders like you determined to create a real, lasting impact for the future of Canada.
Excited to launch this campaign for #GCdigital ⬇️

To say it’s nice to have your story reflected in the mainstream is an understatement - thanks @SimuLiu for sharing your immigrant story, which is so common to all
Remember, you can’t be who you can’t see
Couldn't be more excited to launch this pilot to bring deep tech talent to #GCDigital to help us deliver better services to Canadians
This pilot will also inform us on potential changes to classification + career pathways for individual contributors/experts in their fields
Refactoring is exactly how we get stuff shipped. It’s not “tinkering.” It’s not about aesthetics. It’s reshaping code so we can add features without breaking old. We refactor for maintainability, *extensibility*! Not a right or a privilege, but a professional practice.
Happy @RisingLinda day! Wishing a very joyous birthday to an amazing woman who continues to inspire us all with her curiosity, energy, and passion for learning and sharing.
Ideally, there are no devs, no testers, no UXers. We’re all makers. Some of us have more in-depth knowledge of a skill, but all of us can do essential work at some level. Hyperspecialization creates silos, delays, dependencies. Agility is hard when you hobble yourself w/ that.
