Ian Hislop, "Farmers didn't pay inheritance tax at all, and now they're going to pay half of what everybody else pays.. And the limits they set on them are really pretty high"
"So it's meant to stop wealthy landowners buying lots of land in order to avoid taxes"
"People who come to mind.. Jeremy Clarkson who originally bought his farm in order to avoid paying any tax on it"
"Who has now become the champion of the small farmer who is probably not going to get hit by this, and is going to end up worse off for lots of other reasons"
Victroia Derbyshire, "Why are you here?"
Jeremy Clarkson, "I'm here to support farmers"
VD, "So it's not about you and the fact that you bought a farm to avoid inheritance tax?"
JC, "Classic BBC.. It's not the fact that I bought a farm to avoid inheritance tax"
VD, "You told the Sunday Times in 2021 that's why you bought it"
JC shakes his head
Ian Hislop, "It's not as though he doesn't have any history with the Beeb, she's quite lucky he didn't punch her in the face with cold food"
I don’t really have an opinion on the farming debate as I don’t know enough but watching Clarkson getting his ass handed to him was very enjoyable. #FarmingRally
“So it’s not about you, it’s not about your farm and the fact you bought a farm to avoid inheritance tax?”
@vicderbyshire speaks to Jeremy Clarkson at the farmers’ protest in Westminster where thousands of farmers are protesting the government’s inheritance tax plans.
Don’t want to go all Kevin Keegan here but the Gallaghers have let themselves down with this whole thing. Fans waited 15 years for a reunion. Supported them all the way. And in return they gouged them. And not a word from either, none of this ‘as you were’ man of the people act.
@Chris_Webb1 Honestly it breaks me the amount of people who should know better can’t wait for him to fail. Argyle are second favourites for relegation. People forget to anyone but us it’s still ‘little old Argyle’ on a hiding to nothing Rooney has put his head above the parapet, fair play.
