Recording conversations/generating speech-to-text versions of chats online, etc. needs upgrading. No need to include every interjection (…like…, …so…, for …right?...). Simple text technology ought to generate readable writing, not speech streams.
Language ability is no longer a criterion for blocking a migrant at a border if they have a phone+translator. Just improve translate-quality for migrant language pairs. Aim at Europe, the Americas, the Gulf, Russia, etc. But make sure the phones don’t blow up…

Instead of learning 'foreign' #languages poorly, with difficulty and resentment, #English schoolkids among others should learn more/better about 'language' - as action, heritage, loss, weapon, personal asset, and technology. And use history to show why.
