If I’m still here it’s because I have no impulse control and I’m sort of curious to watch it burn down. Not because I think Elon is doing a good job. he’s not.
@NoContextHumans I don’t know why they shot it like that. Go to all the effort, expense, and risk of doing the stunt and then you frame it like a not very complicated green screen shot.
Compare it to like, the Cliffhanger plane zip line stunt where it’s absolutely clear a guy just did the thing.
@amandawtwong I’m not automatically opposed to Section 31. I just think every writer should be required to sign an affidavit affirming that they know section 31 sucks and are fundamentally the bad guys when they show up.
@StephenJPlant I don’t know what the vibe on the word is in Japan, I’m pretty sure it’s a regular word. But I’m guessing either the combination with a bullet on a suicide run painted like a fighter plane too much evoked kamikaze pilots or just the fact that it entered English in those contexts.
@biggestjoel Also the only reason that the two to six hour runtimes are allowed to survive in the space. Like, I need to at least pretend I’m doing my job while I’ve got this on.
@KCD0DGER@_Pundus_ Like, maybe you find out to make the spore drive work you need a whole new warp, core sized component, you’re going to be glad that all of your conduits meet up in a central location with a lot of free space to install something like that.
@KCD0DGER@_Pundus_ I’m just learning about the systems hub but my read at the time which could justify it was that, being science/experimental vessels, Crossfields would be designed so you could easily access replace and reconfigure systems depending on the needs of the experiment.
@jessalyn91 That’s an average. This is why I try to surround myself with people who get divorced after only one year. Ideally several times. Each one buys me seven more years.
Obviously Disney knows that a Wolverine is a real animal. But if a Wolverine got the Mutant X gene his alias wouldn’t be “the Wolverine” that’s like being “The Human” think, people!
@Kevinhay4@philvischer@megbasham Actually, the tomato was usually the straight man, pound for pound I think he was probably funniest as some manner or another of gourd.
In this instance though I don’t think comedy is really the primary intent anyway so it’s largely a moot point.
Oh, I’ve figured out how this website works now, which is that I went away for a weekend, didn’t really use my phone or have internet and came back to 14 notifications that were all just “hey, you see this tweet though?” This stupid website is so needy under Elon.
@Defunctland By that token the American flag one allows your guests to self express how in distress they feel the country is by where they chose to sit at the table. A sort of “horseshoe theory” seating plan.
