Norway is leading the push to suspend Israel from FIFA. The campaign is being led by the Norwegian Football Federation and its president, Lise Klaveness, a former national team player, lawyer, and UEFA executive committee member.

Instead of calling for boycotts, Klaveness is pushing football's governing bodies to act. She says the rules should be applied equally: if Russia was suspended after invading Ukraine, Israel should face the same consequences.

Norway has backed efforts to suspend Israel from FIFA over the genocide in the Gaza Strip, discrimination against Palestinian athletes, and Israeli football clubs playing in illegal settlements in the occupied West Bank.

BREAKING: The Ministry of Defence has admitted it ran an "extensive" programme of blood and urine tests on servicemen posted to nuclear weapons tests.

But in a bid to limit publicity, it has published the results of a two-year review into the #NukedBlood Scandal I uncovered just as #England prepares to face #Argentina in the #WorldCup.

The cynicism of @defencehq is breathtaking - especially as the report admits what amounts to a massive programme of human radiation experiments and wilful destruction of records, both of which cost lives.

The review has been published stripped of recommendations for compensation which had been discussed with campaigners, and despite pleas from MPs for a Commons debate it was slipped out in a written statement by Veterans Minister @CalvinBailey.

Its shocking contents - which are a complete vindication of nuclear veterans' testimony and my reporting over the past 20 years - will be covered in full later, with proper prominence, in @DailyMirror, the only newspaper which campaigned for these men when other media dropped the story.

Republicans learned Lindsey Graham was dead on July 11 and, instead of giving his family time to breathe, the machinery kicked in almost immediately. By July 13, Governor Henry McMaster had appointed Darline Graham Nordone, and on July 14 she was sworn in — less than a week after her brother’s death, just three days after he passed. Why? Because they were desperate to keep that Republican vote on the board. Their margin is razor-thin, and suddenly “respect for the family’s privacy” takes a back seat to keeping the Trump-GOP coalition alive.

Now compare that to Adelita Grijalva. She WON her special election in Arizona to replace her late father. She was the rightful, elected representative of more than 800,000 people — and Mike Johnson kept her in limbo for FIFTY days. Democrats begged for her to be sworn in. Arizona’s attorney general sued. Her constituents went without full representation through a historic shutdown while Johnson treated her oath of office like a bargaining chip. All because seating her would give Democrats the final signature to force action on the Epstein files and break his little leverage game.

So let’s be crystal clear about what we’re up against this fall: a party acting like a cornered animal, willing to cheat, stall, and twist the rules until they snap. They will fast‑track power for themselves and slow‑walk democracy for everyone else. They will swear in an unelected Republican in record time to protect their majority, and bury a duly elected Democrat under bogus “timing” excuses to keep the truth from seeing daylight.

If we want anything resembling democracy and basic fairness back, we have to stop pretending these people can be “reasoned” with at the ballot box and start treating every race as an emergency. Vote them out. Every seat, every level, every time. Because as long as they hold the gavel, they’ll keep proving they don’t fear the voters — they fear losing power. And they’ll burn the system down before they let that happen.
