You can either have a shitty park with one out of place really good spot or you get an oversized park with three 12+ ft deep bowls that no one skates & a few skateable objects on the perimeter that double as benches for people who don't actually skate & like to stay in the way

@PatrickHayslip Yeah I think a piece I've missed in this convo is that next year the cap will be a problem but after that it should be easier to navigate so if Robo + Larkin happens the cap problem is mostly a next season problem which is kind of a good problem to have

@worldhockeyrpt Have you been to the southwest & seen what's going on with hockey down here? Phoenix, Vegas & Orange County all have rinks & infrastructure that could support a USHL team. I lived in Dubuque & went to a lot of Fighting Saints games, in Vegas now & we could support a USHL team

I don't expect people who aren't in the DFW area to get this but the Stars moving to Plano isn't going to hurt them. The AAC isn't convenient for a lot of people in DFW either. If anything moving to Plano puts the Stars in a more convenient area for the majority of their fanbase

Not too sure about the Dallas area, but typically leaving the exact middle of downtown to go to a suburb on the outside has not worked in the past anywhere else.

@bungoman Yeah, the moment the city of Dallas sided with Mavs new ownership in that lawsuit the Stars went from looking out the window to walking out the door. The city of Dallas fumbled pretty badly even if the Mavs are technically staying in the city
