Indo-europeans used alchohol to purify water, and as a result, natural selection killed off people with adverse reactions to it

After 46 years without building a single primary aluminum smelter, the US is starting one in Inola, Oklahoma.
Century Aluminum and Emirates Global Aluminium plan to produce 750,000 tonnes per year, which would more than double current US output from four remaining plants that together make roughly 680,000 tonnes.
A smelter this size consumes about 11 TWh of electricity per year, comparable to a city the size of Nashville, because producing one tonne of primary aluminum requires around 14 MWh of continuous electrolysis.
In 1980 the country had 33 smelters producing 4.6 million tonnes.

A 600k pre-seed fund today is more than most startups get. Most pre-seed funding is 100k-500k.

Don't come out claiming things you know nothing about, whilst insulting anyone who disagrees.

There's no policy framework you could establish that wouldn't hamper your own countries' tech company development by restricting VPNs. They are critical infrastructure for data.

@unusual_whales Even if re-opened fully today, the resulting chain reaction of shortages is going to make the Arab spring look tame.

Remember, the Arab spring of 2010 was caused by shortages of energy (transport) and fertilizer (wheat). Both of which are more constrained today than in pre-2010.
