For over four-and-a-half decades, Air Force Military School (AFMS) Jos has stood as a beacon of excellence in training and character development. Established in 1980, the school has evolved into a premier Air Force military college, renowned for shaping young minds into principled and purpose-driven men. From its humble beginnings, AFMS Jos has produced generations of well-rounded men, deeply rooted in the values of integrity, loyalty, and service. Notably, the school has produced a remarkable number of military generals—some now retired and about 65 currently serving across the Nigerian Army, Navy, and Air Force—alongside accomplished professionals in civil, military and business sectors, both at home and abroad.

Team of heroes behind every NAF successful flight

Throwback to the celebration of the Nigerian Air Force’s 61st anniversary, we proudly commend the unwavering dedication of all NAF personnel—those who support and maintain platforms on the ground and those who take to the skies. Behind every successful mission lies a team of professionals whose efforts often go unseen but remain critical to national security.

In the past year alone, the NAF flew over 4,500 hours in 2,304 sorties for 1,974 counterterrorism and counterinsurgency missions, 4,670+ hours in 2,713 sorties for 2,610 anti-banditry operations, and 1,450 hours in 453 sorties for 366 counter-crude oil theft missions. Between January and June 2025, another 3,583 hours have already been recorded in 1,728 sorties. Every flight is a reflection of collective sacrifice, professionalism, and relentless pursuit of excellence.

The people’s Air Force, the NAF remains steadfast in its commitment to safeguarding lives and property across the nation, ensuring peace and security for all Nigerians.
