Ukrainian skeleton racer Vladyslav Heraskevych’s memory helmet shows the faces of Ukrainian athletes and coaches killed by Russia’s war. The International Olympic Committee has disqualified him for wearing it – undermining its own reputation. This decision is a shameful betrayal of Olympic values.
More than 650 Ukrainian athletes and coaches have lost their lives because of Russia’s war. Remembering them is an act of dignity and courage.
@InternetH0F Worked on a rail gang many years ago doing the same job, replacing ties, anchors, track and rail bed. Much of the work was manual labour. 150 guys spread out over about a mile and a half…in July! I would have preferred this.
