Due to the UK government's secret order, Apple has disabled Advanced Data Protection for iCloud in the UK. Users everywhere else should turn it on now. Good discussion here:

You may also want to consider using Cryptomator (https://t.co/aALT7QeW1q) to privately encrypt your data before uploading/syncing it with whatever cloud storage service you use (e.g., Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive, iCloud, etc.).
If you have an Apple device (iPhone, iPad, Mac, etc.), you should turn on Advanced Data Protection for iCloud to encrypt your data with private end-to-end encryption. (But see previous post about the UK's order.) https://t.co/h4M8PnZKbz
Critical security issue worth watching closely. U.K. orders Apple to break its end-to-end encryption & create a backdoor that the UK (or hackers) could use to access all iCloud data of Apple users worldwide, even if Advanced Data Protection is enabled.

A good reminder that anyone can be phished and that both humility and having a paranoid but blame-free culture are critical for a company's security. And use FIDO2 security keys everywhere they are supported. https://t.co/BF3heKFZfz
Caution: Clever phishing technique generates fake login popups (e.g., for "Sign in with Google") that display the *correct* URL in the popup:

At least half of the Supreme Court justices hearing Google v Oracle appeared open to the flawed idea that software APIs (which are clearly functional--they are used to control the copyright-eligible software) are eligible for copyright protection. https://t.co/of53DXnKrh
