Visited @THeightsTAG today and was able to talk to two 4th graders. They couldn't stop talking about the story they read in class. The joy in their eyes doesn't happen by accident. It happens through purposeful planning and allowing students to drive the learning. @ILCsDallasISD

@MrsGilmerELA @BandaBookChat Yes. One thing I miss about teaching writing is the times we would change the POV in a story. Also, changing the gender of the narrator is a great activity. Forces students to really step out of the only world they’ve ever known.
