1 in 5 prisoners have been infected with COVID-19.
■ That's four times the rate of the general population.
■ In some states, half or even 3 out of every 5 prisoners have tested positive.
■ It didn’t have to be this way.

I wish that we had done what the UK did and guarantee wages to 80%. It would take away so much uncertainty and distress, not to talk about compliance with social isolation. Instead we are sinking money into businesses (which may be required for some) who are still closing.
My growing reflection that we have been too apologetic about kindness, compassion, empathy "I know it is soft & fluffy but it is important..." Kindness is the BUSINESS end of healthcare. We need to start with it. Love this from @maureenbis@donberwick@ProfLenBerry @QualityForum
Thanks @henrytimms for the provocation on old and new power values - castles, connectors, cheerleaders, crowds - so many conversations during #quality2019 and surely thereafter as together this global group strives towards better health and healthcare
I talk a lot about kindness in the pressures of working in a busy hospital... and I’ll keep saying it, not only is there no reason not to be kind to each other, it’s actually important for our patients! #Quality2019
