Recently ported over the beautiful Blender 4.0 splash screen from @Gakutadar into the browser and the Gauntlet of Gods template from @_Pwnisher_ using #threejs's TSL. Both run at 60FPS on my cheap phone that uses WebGL.

I guess more 3D #b3d artists can consider porting over their work to live in the browser.

Amen. and YES!!! Play it the way!! Treat life as a game, there are frustrating moments, there are good moments, both are part of almost every game! If life is a game then it's better not to quit and keep playing. I've also noticed that yes it always somehow ends up working out even if not the way I planned haha.

For the people that follow me that have AI anxiety. I think I got over my AI anxiety by realizing as cool and impressive the demos are and will be in the future, none of them really builds trust or makes people feel seen and loved. I always looked at a demo and was like "wow that's incredible" but I never once thought "I trust that person a lot more now" or "wow this makes me feel seen; like this person understands me."

I really believe emotional skills that can build trust are going to be more and more important; not just cool/usefulness factor anymore.

Wow, thank you for this!! That's definitely true, in regards to the nuance, I agree wholeheartdly, it's definitely more nuanced, I guess at that point it's about the perons's intention to some degree. Like a lot of people can be interested in someone but still don't think they're a good person or someone they want to hang out with IRL. But yeah, I totally understand that.

In terms of creation and your puppy analogy, I also agree! Sometimes I want to be babied too and taken care of even if I am a creator myself. It's nice to be able to relax and enjoy a nice experience without me needing to put in any effort, I guess that's why amusement parks exist haha.

It's true LLMs emulate empathy very well, and I think there were studies that show it does help a specific demographic of people with their mental health, albeit like you said, there is that co-regulation and other randomness (as in how they got to where they are through a story) with a human that makes things just feel better to some degree.

I love the word using "belief" instead of trust. I need to think about that on my own time. I guess to some degree trust/faith/belief/respect etc. are very intertwined with each other.

I guess I've been so conditioned to hear "brand" as a bad word, but I guess it's somewhat interchagable with just "existing" online? When I started my YouTube channel it was just to teach a younger version of myself; but then I kept hearing people saying I have a nice "personal brand", but I never thought about branding ever in my entire life; I was just some guy uploading videos online; yet somehow people viewed that as a brand. And in some sense yes, brands aren't inherently bad, they're just there, but I also took the negative connotation with that word for some reason.

On another note, thank you for your kind words and for the support for so long!! I really appreciate it. I find it hard to continue sometimes, but I keep going because YOLO!!!

Hello! Thank you so much for sharing; I love long messages so don't worry at all haha. This topic is not an easy talk about without a long message sometimes.

I totally agree that getting people to care is a huge amount of work as well. And like a lot of people have said, if it's one shotted, they lose a lot of interest in it after the hype/awe fades away.

I also feel like that's a lonely position to be in, everytime you one shot something cool, people don't necessarily care about you, they just care about what you create. The moment you stop creating few care you exist and then they move on to the next person creating cool stuff.

In terms of creator's curse, I guess I'm not exactly like that. There are some projects that I love revisiting and say "wow I made that?" and feel happy and warm again. It doesn't happen on every visit but it does sometimes. But yea it's definitely hard to push through sometimes and with that effort I think creates value in people's eyes.

Idk if I agree with the creation part tho, I think every human has an innate desire to create things; even if it's not "creative," although I argue everything is technically creative. Like wiring up devices for hospital staff is creating an ability for hospital staff to use technology in some sense. So that creating part is fufilled. Any work in some sense is creation; at least in my eyes. But I understand you mean creation in the sense of getting people to care, atistry, and marketing etc.

But yeah, thank you so much for sharing!! I don't think we disagree on the major points and it's encouraging to hear that many people feel the same way. Empathy is the future!!

@dsnabas I guess for me that depends on the context, sometimes I do find the person amazing too. It's just, coolness used to be able to be a key differentiator, now if everyone is making cool stuff or useful stuff and can clone ur stuff, then one of the few things left is trust.
