Stuff like this is all too common on both sides of the border and it sets our game back. We need to celebrate coaches who truly put kids first and squeeze out coaches like the one in that story.

I just got a call from a buddy of mine. Buckle up.

Tryouts start today for their AAA organization.

He told me he’s fielded calls from a few worried parents the last few days…of kids that were going to play for him…that are being told from a rival organization that if they play for him, they will not be chosen for the USA Hockey development camps in the summer.

Adults threatening kids and families so they choose their team.
