@_Matt_Bowers_ @geauxsohard I’m using Trinidad as the example because Ole Miss fans celebrated that decision, and without him, their season looks a lot different. The players LSU is getting won’t be starters. For the record, I don’t agree with LSU (or any school) getting these former NFL players.

@_Matt_Bowers_ @geauxsohard Just saying, it’s strange to see people upset about a state court intervening to let NFL players play college football when essentially the same thing happened months ago with Trinidad’s 6th year eligibility case. Same underlying problem: courts overriding eligibility rules

@_Matt_Bowers_ @geauxsohard As you know, that doesn’t matter. Under the new rule, the five-year window begins at the earlier of full-time college enrollment or the academic year after the athlete turns 19.

@_Matt_Bowers_ @geauxsohard I figured this would happen after the Trinidad ruling. That decision essentially gave him six years of college to play four seasons of football. All of these eligibility changes and exceptions are making things increasingly difficult for high school recruits.
