The Onion has acquired Infowars in a bankruptcy auction.
They plan to debut a new Infowars in January that will serve as parody, mocking weird Internet personalities like Alex Jones.
The Onion CEO says they acquired it because “this is the funniest thing that has ever happened”
The names ESPN have kept have often been the most provocative as opposed to the most studied.
They're not unique in these choices. It's happening throughout our society and it's a long-term losing plan - for all of us.
@ZachLowe_NBA 's work is exceptional - many will follow wherever it goes, but we're all worse off when big platforms pass on well researched/educated work for more visceral content.
We should value work that makes us think and question and learn just as much as work that makes us feel and react.
There will be endless words written about Rose, and equally lengthy debates about whether or not he belongs in the Hall of Fame. More to come on that later. For now, all I have to say is thank you.
