My campaign for King County Executive is officially underway! Honored to be featured in the @seattletimes. With public safety, affordable housing, and transit at the heart of my vision, I’m proud to share my goals to move King County forward.

@dseater Also, I didn't go check out the connection on the NE side at the 520 bridge, so I can't comment on how that works.
Hopefully it's all open and working well!✨ (He says trying to put positive energy out into the world)
@dseater I went South to North, and took the Red/Yellow path ... except that you can't cross all the way yet. The yellow heads west to intersect at Montlake. No idea about the opening timeline - maybe that was a "just not last night" and maybe "TBD"
The shelters strike me as "a little too design forward to be useful" but we'll wait and see. The overall fit and finish of the project seemed great, and I'm excited to explore when it's fully open (and fully light out).
@stxpress @KingCountyMetro Since they were talking with a rider, I didn't stop to chat to learn more. Their vest says Metro and this stop only serves Metro buses. Totally possible they'll chat all transit!
Seeing @KingCountyMetro staff doing rider outreach makes me so happy. Proving to people that we want them to ride by helping them understand our changes can take more than a sign and updated Google Maps.
Good on yah Metro!
I've been informed that this tweet was 2019, but the point holds. I first rode my bike on the Foothills Trail in 2012, and have daydreamed about it ever since. Everyone deserves amazing public accommodations like this - interconnected towns, bucolic nature, and helpful amenities.
I've been waiting for this project for 10 yrs and IT'S FINALLY HAPPENING! 😍
The Foothills Trail is a true gem of the Puget Sound, and @kingcountyparks is opening the bridge connection between Enumclaw and Buckley over the White River.
Join me Sept 28!

One of the truly outstanding pieces of infrastructure in our region is the Foothills Trail. It was filled today wth people of all types, enjoying the sun and the outdoors. Thank you @PierceCo for building out and maintaining such a wonderful trail 🥰
