A judge has said the case of a Romanian national who posed as a taxi driver before stalking the woman he had picked up, breaking into her home and viciously raping her is "the stuff of nightmares", as he jailed him for 11 years.
One-time professional footballer Costel Raducan (37) of High Street, Balbriggan, Co Dublin was convicted by a Central Criminal Court jury last month of burglary, rape and attempted anal rape at a location in Dublin on May 3, 2025. He has previous convictions for theft and road traffic offences.
