JEFF TAYLOR TO DRIVE SLIM CHICKENS STOCK CAR AT SCHOENFELD $10,000 RACE

Andrews Autosport is switching things up for this weekend’s 29th Annual Schoenfeld Headers IMCA Stock Car Championship at Batesville Motor Speedway as a new Taylor will drive the @slimchickens Stock Car.

Last night Keaton Atkinson earned our first ever Modified win at Two Dollar Pistol Motor Speedway driving the No. 01 @slimchickens car. It was also our 25th team win.

@KKeaton24 will make his IMCA Stock Car debut this weekend at Plumerville, AR behind the wheel of the No. 7 @slimchickens Throwback.

We had a solid first night ever at Two Dollar Pistol Motor Speedway with @keatonatkinsonracing making his 2024 Modified debut in the No. 01 @acres.company / @slimchickens mod. Because he had no previous points Keaton had to start in the back but was able to drive from fifth to third in the heat and ninth to fifth in the feature. But the race of the evening was in the Factory Stock division where Atkinson took a $500 challenge from the track to try and win his feature from the last starting (driving his family's car not ours). He gained 22 position and came home with a third-straight win in that division.

Before Saturday Keaton had only race a modified one night in the previous 18 months. We can’t wait to see what happens as he gets more seat time in our mod. Our next race will be at Two Dollar Pistol Speedway again this Saturday night (fingers crossed on the weather). Thank you to all of our sponsors for keeping us on the track:

Before we turn the page on Florida we need to brag on our veteran driver. None of us had ever met @Kenny_Wallace before he got behind the wheel of the No. 7 @slimchickens “Stroker Ace” throwback last week. What we learned was that the “Hermanator” in person is even better than the Hermanator on TV and social media. We made three of four features together and finished 16th in points out of 60 cars. Kenny put our team up front, kept us out of trouble, and took care of our sponsors.

But what was even more incredible is that he said “yes” to every request folks made to him for seven straight days. Yes to every autograph request, yes to every pic with a fan, yes to sponsor appearances, yes to @huntthefrontjj and https://t.co/wYRMjYIv1J interviews, or even yes when asked if he could hold @JosephJoiner10’s baby for sec while we worked on tires.

In his own words Kenny said “I just want your program to be in a better place at the end of the week.” Well it is! Even before Kenny donated his winnings back to the team to distribute to the crew.

It is something truly unique about dirt track racing that @NASCAR greats can find a home in our ranks. Not on some celebrity or senior tour but instead out there beating and banging with real grassroots racers in a Saturday night. They make everyone’s experience better. Just like Kenny did for us at the Clash on the Coast.
