Amorim is a very intelligent coach.

He understood that a system and a formation aren’t the same thing. You can change the shape without abandoning the principles.

What you don’t do as an owner or sporting director is tell your manager how to coach his team.

He literally said at United that his system could adapt to different formations. We just didn’t have the patience to see it through.

- Carrick brought Rashford back and starts him EVERY SINGLE GAME despite everything that happened.

- Amorim raised the physicality and fitness levels of these players.
- Carrick didn’t even make them run in pre-season and these players are running less than literally EVERY opponent.
