The Washington Post revealed that China has sharply increased exports to Russia of key drone components — fiber-optic cables and lithium-ion batteries. In June alone, battery exports reached $54 million.
These parts are used in cable-controlled drones that cannot be jammed by electronic warfare systems — a type Russia is now actively deploying on the front lines.

Putin Angers Trump Team, Derails Ukraine Negotiations
According to the Financial Times, a “tectonic shift” occurred within President Trump’s circle after the Kremlin continued bombing Ukraine, ignoring Washington’s generous offers.
Trump had proposed Putin a highly advantageous deal to end the war, which included lifting sanctions, recognizing Crimea as Russian, and economic cooperation, including joint Arctic resource development.
However, the Kremlin overestimated its position: Putin demanded the surrender of Ukrainian territories, derailing negotiations that had been ongoing for over six months and culminated in a personal meeting in Alaska.
Now, the U.S. is providing Kyiv with intelligence for strikes on Russia’s energy infrastructure, which in September led to the shutdown of five refineries and a gasoline crisis.
Washington’s rhetoric has also hardened: special envoy Kit Kellogg vowed that the U.S. military would “kick Russian troops’ asses,” and Trump called Russia a “paper tiger.”

Over the past 24 hours, Russia has carried out massive strikes on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure.
Power outages affected multiple regions: in Donetsk, Druzhkivka and Kostiantynivka are completely without electricity, and Kramatorsk is experiencing disruptions after a local CHP plant was hit.
In Sumy, Shostka district lost power due to “Shahed” drone attacks. In Kyiv region, Slavutych was without electricity for two days; backup power is now being restored.

🇨🇿 In the Czech elections (which are very important for Ukraine), 70% of the votes have already been counted — and here’s who’s leading
On October 3–4, Czechs voted for candidates to the 200-seat Chamber of Deputies — the most important of the two chambers of parliament in Prague.
According to iDNES:
📍The party of Andrej Babiš is leading with 37.1% of the votes.
📍In second place is the ruling Together right-centrist bloc with 21.4%.
📍Next come: STAN (“Mayors and Independents”) — 10.7%, SPD (“Freedom and Direct Democracy”) — 8.2%, the Pirate Party — 8%, and Motorists — 7%.
📍The populist party Stačilo! (“Enough!”) is at 4.5%, just below the 5% threshold.
❗️Why are these results so important?
Former Prime Minister and leader of ANO (“Action of Dissatisfied Citizens”) Andrej Babiš is a fierce critic of the European Union and has previously threatened to stop military aid to Kyiv.
Babiš’s victory could lead to a shift in the country’s foreign policy — including its stance toward Ukraine.
