Found this short clip of Gears of War E-Day on Reddit
This is my last post about it but that’s definitely a “slide to cover” from a good few feet back
Wall bouncing might not “be the same”, but this is definitely workable from a competitive standpoint
@PaulLivo This gameplay is super slow, and judging by some comments, this is how they play gears of war now anyway
So it’s a divided opinion it seems, but I’m not speculating anymore until I get my hands on it
But this wouldn’t be gears multiplayer if it played that slow
@JerusalemJonny I think that’s a good thing, as wall bouncing doesn’t have to be the same as Gears of War 4/5, but as long as it’s still a skill to be learnt I’m all for it
IGN played Gears of War: E-Day and sort of go back and forth on wall bouncing
It’s “still there”, but it’s not the same, but there’s still “ways to play with it”, but it’s a new game with new mechanics.
I wonder whether they got a chance to play multiplayer, or whether or not it was just the campaign

Campaign movement for Gears 5 and its multiplayer is drastically different
This is the only thing that makes me believe that wall bouncing could still be a thing
They know they have a huge competitive market, and even call it a high skill tier mechanic, so I couldn’t see them removing it
If they did, it would kill off the vast majority of their competitive player base
@PaulLivo I’m in different
I liked judgment and the change up, so we will see what this feels like
Love the sound of the PVE changes too, just excited for more gears tbh
