A proud moment for Assam's public healthcare!

For the first time in Assam and the Northeast, robotic-assisted cardiac procedures, including Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting and Mitral Valve surgery, have been performed at @gmchgauhati.

With 3D visualisation and robotic precision, complex heart surgeries can now be done through small incisions, meaning less pain and faster recovery for patients.

Over the years, we have worked to transform GMCH into a world-class facility by modernising infrastructure and strengthening tertiary cardiac care. This is only the beginning. Next, we are working towards a comprehensive cardiac transplant programme and a new era of advanced surgery for the region.
