I'm soft-exiting this platform. Had enough of seeing its owner's latest diatribe, & tons of far-right posts. Serves me right for not wanting to live in a bubble & affecting the algorithms. I'll only be back to look for specific news. Most friends have left. What a shitshow.
@bill31207829776@Shrink_at_Large It's very complex and varied, and impossible to say one specific event in people's lives makes suicide more likely. But it's said that some form of interpersonal loss such as divorce, estrangement from family etc is often the final straw. That can include bereavement of course.
@Shrink_at_Large I'm a bit gobsmacked by this as you've identified and put into words something I know I've felt for a long time but haven't quite been able to put my finger on. There is some envy mixed in with that bewilderment too, which in turn brings on guilt.
@Shrink_at_Large I used to help people apply for PIP and Attendance Allowance in my last job, blue badges too. Some may find it hard to believe that in general, it was more difficult to make a successful claim for a blue badge than it was the disability benefits.
@DanMasterton@TheFigen_ Similar story here. I think our current genre is somewhere between Mortgage Product Renewal-core and Ambient Pension Fund Concerns.
@grok@stfvsl@PeterSweden7 These include people who die later from unrelated causes (age, illness, accidents, etc.).
This data cannot be used to estimate deaths caused by vaccines without proper investigation.
@grok@stfvsl@PeterSweden7 There is no credible evidence that tens of thousands of people in Germany died because of COVID vaccines. What’s going on here is a very common misunderstanding:
Databases in Europe (like EudraVigilance) record any death after vaccination, not deaths caused by it.
@AndyMoGuitar@DannyJohnJules@I_amMukhtar “Before being eliminated from the show, Danny, 58, had reportedly been told off by BBC bosses after a clash with partner Amy, 27, during training had left her in tears”.
Basically accused of bullying I think. However she said “I never felt bullied or threatened by Danny”
@MichaelRosenYes This charity does excellent work around meningitis, but their post about the info and support they can give doesn't seem to have gained much traction. Any chance of sharing it? I'm sure you're inundated at the moment, but it's a good place to direct people to.
We are here for anyone who needs information, guidance or someone to talk to during what can be a frightening and uncertain time.

@MichaelRosenYes I supported several parents who said goodnight to their completely healthy looking child, or one who just felt a little run down, and never got to say anything else to them again. I can only try to imagine how that must feel.
@MichaelRosenYes This is very important. When I worked for a meningitis charity, we ran a campaign called ‘Don’t wait for the rash’, because one doesn’t always appear and if one does, it can be at quite a late stage. A good message to get out. So sorry for your loss.
@scriptwren@MichaelRosenYes I realise that’s *an* issue, I worked for a meningitis charity, including the period from the B vaccine getting licensed, being recommended for NHS infant programme, to being introduced into the vaccination schedule. We funded a lot of research & campaigned for NHS introduction.
@Tesco Hi, I’ve just had a delivery and only noticed when putting things away that a bottle of cooking oil has a small split in it, and has leaked all over the inside of my cupboard. I can’t see how to request a refund without taking it to a store, but I had to throw away.
