Partisan politics might be the greatest threat to unity in the American Church.
Truth:
Neither Right nor Left has a corner on truth, justice, or neighbor love. Both (a) have some blood on their hands, and (b) imperfectly align with *some* aspect/s of Christ’s own agenda.

Christians: I know that this feels a bit like unknown territory. For our generation, it is. But the church has faced uncertainty, wartime, plagues, & persecution. Remain faithful, prayerful, bold, compassionate, and committed to holiness.
Friends, if your church has cancelled services this weekend, please don’t forget to give online. Unfortunately, cancelled services often means reduced generosity.
Let’s cancel services out of love for one another, but let’s keep giving for the same reason.
Feeling fear is a normal and natural response to a crisis. However, as the people of God, we need to also understand that we are part of a greater story, one where God is in control. Rest in his grace during this anxious season. You are in good hands.
As noble as your intentions may be, Senator, greed cannot be ended, or even affected, with government intervention. It is a matter of the heart. Until the heart changes in the billionaire class, greed will always exist. The ONLY answer: Jesus.
If you believe that God originally called you to a position, task or relationship, then you have no business quitting it unless you clearly and unmistakably sense that God is releasing you from it.
One thing that liberates your daily Bible reading: realizing every day doesn’t have to be this big moment of inspiration. Sometimes that happens. But what’s more important is the rhythm of reading and rereading the Scripture. Over a lifetime, this ritual can shape the soul.
