Ukraine’s Navy says the Russian frigate Admiral Essen was hit by a Neptune anti-ship missile during the overnight strike on Novorossiysk.

That makes the wait for satellite imagery even more interesting. If the frigate really took a direct Neptune hit, the damage should be significantly more serious than from the previous drone strikes on the ship.

Norway sends 69 Russians home without the ship Ukraine got arrested

The Professor Molchanov, an expedition cruise ship owned by Russia's state weather agency, was arrested by a Norwegian court in Svalbard on 2 September. Norway helped its 69 passengers and crew cross back into Russia on 8 September through Kirkenes, the Norwegian town near the Russian border. The court acted for Ukraine's state energy company Naftogaz, which is enforcing a $4.22 billion award for assets Moscow took when it annexed Crimea in 2014. The vessel stays under arrest at Barentsburg, one of two Russian settlements on the archipelago. Moscow calls the seizure piracy, summoned Norway's ambassador to protest, and says it will appeal.

Months after the idea was thought to have been laid to rest, some EU capitals are reviving the push to use 200 billion euros ($233 billion) in Russian assets, frozen in the bloc since 2022, to support Ukraine.

🇪🇸 After news spread that the dolphin hunted by illegal migrants in Ceuta was already dead when it was caught, many people were angry at the whitewashing of migrant crimes.

A new video clearly shows that the baby dolphin was alive when the migrants pulled it out of the sea.

The people who clean the beaches have stated in a recent interview that the migrants are also violently going after dogs and cats for fun.

⚡️ Rosgvardiya special forces soldiers killed in an avalanche in Kabardino-Balkaria

According to VChK-OGPU and other sources, the group caught in the snow-and-ice avalanche included servicemen from the Vityaz Special Purpose Center, who were undergoing mountain training. The sources report that 13 soldiers were killed.

Officially, Russia’s Emergency Situations Ministry has so far confirmed 12 deaths among the group of 33 people, while five others remain missing. Rosgvardiya has not publicly confirmed that the dead were members of the Vityaz unit.

Many of you will remember this iconic picture from the early days of full scale invasion.

The Ukrainian soldier in this photo is Serhiy "Борцуха" - "Bortsukha" although others called him "Borets" [The Fighter].

He was a soldier in the "Tengri" sniper group of the Main Directorate of Intelligence (HUR) in the early days of the full-scale invasion.

Here he is seen riding a bike into Irpin, with an RPG on his handlebars and two more RPG rounds on his back.

In the spring of 2022, Ukrainian soldiers rode bicycles and used grenade launchers against tanks, aviation, and ballistic missiles.

Unfortunately, this warrior was killed a few days ago in an airstrike while serving as commander of a marine unit.

🚨🇺🇦🚀 Ukraine has unveiled the new domestically produced Koral surface-to-air interceptor missile at the MSPO defense exhibition in Poland, according to Militarnyi.

Koral is being positioned as an interceptor capable of engaging both aerodynamic and ballistic targets and is intended for integration into a Ukrainian air-defense system. The missile weighs around 450 kg, including a 36 kg warhead.

🔥 If Koral reaches serial production and proves effective against ballistic threats, it could become an important step toward reducing Ukraine’s dependence on limited foreign interceptor stocks. Building a domestic missile layer is increasingly critical as Russia expands both the scale and variety of its long-range strike arsenal.

Ukraine has quietly pulled off one of its most significant counteroffensive operations of 2026.

Over several months, Ukraine’s 3rd Army Corps pushed back Russian forces north of Lyman and cut down a Russian salient that had taken Moscow roughly a year to build.

OSINT analysts estimate Ukraine has retaken around 150–200+ km², with Russian forces pushed back toward the Zherebets River in parts of the sector. The operation has reduced the threat to Lyman and complicated Russia’s attempts to advance toward Sloviansk and the northern Donbas.
