Buy back Royal Mail, 76% want public ownership
It would cost around £3.6 billion
Put households on the board and raise the standards
This 500 year old institution worked well until it was privatised, it should not be owned by a Czech billionaire

Many MPs tell us that the current state pension age is 'unsustainable'. Which is odd, really, given that they can claim parliamentary pensions as soon as they turn 55.
@UKLabour please do something about the scandal if care assistants having to use personal phones to log care plans for clients. Phones should be provided, families should have access to records .
This week TSSA attended @TUCCymru where our delegate, Kay Kelly spoke on “publicly owned rail and keeping public transport workers safe”.
Kay spoke about her experiences of supporting members who had experienced violence at work and TSSA’s campaign, Keep Transport Workers Safe.
@lukeakehurst Reducing Vat on items families on lower incomes can't afford anyway shows that the LP is far removed from what's really needed.
Cheaper staple food items and a reduction in utility bills would help more.
TSSA has called for action after the ‘tragic’ death of a London bus driver as police begin a murder investigation. Full story 👇

This is tragic but solidarity means action. Transport workers need real protections now:
-No lone working
-Increased investment in British Transport Police
-Banning orders to remove violent reoffenders from the Transport network.
-Proper security measures on buses
TSSA delegates are @The_TUC Disabled Workers’ Conference in Bournemouth.
TSSA is speaking on motions on violence against transport workers, disability-compliant travel infrastructure and inclusive municipal design because accessibility is paramount for an inclusive society.
Congratulations to London Underground Health & Safety Rep Andy Mundy, who's been working closely with TSSA Safety Council reps regarding minimum staffing levels at London Bridge Station.
After ongoing discussions, staffing numbers at London Bridge will increase. Thank you Andy!
The performative self-indulgent behaviour that accompanied the swearing in of new MSPs yesterday showed a parliament that is certainly different from Westminster but not in the right way and felt more about individualism that commitment to the collective good.
.@MEslamdoust: "I spent days campaigning.. I spoke to voters who had previously voted Labour who made it incredibly clear that they were turning against us on a whole range of issues.. there's a real sense amongst progressive voters that Labour is no longer listening to them"

Looking forward to speaking with & meeting anti-war activists who continue to stand up for peace, diplomacy & international law across the world.
Keir Starmer should do the right thing & step aside with dignity for the sake of our country. Statesman he may be, but leadership is recognising when you can no longer carry the public with you.The responsible course now is to set an orderly timetable for transition & resign.
This “reset” won’t cut it. Too much is at stake.
One video and aligning with Labour heavyweights won’t save Labour seats. There have been too many bad decisions, poor judgments and a growing disconnect with vast segments of the population.
