Today, our whole school family came together to celebrate Miss Euston's retirement. 💕 From a personalised song written by @technolaedu and memories being shared, it was a fabulous celebration. #WeWillMissYou#TheHeartOfHolyCross
@UnofficialOA I can’t afford to strike in the way they are suggesting. Fiancée is a teacher, too. I have no choice but to accept. I’m not satisfied with the offer, and I’m very sceptical about the “promises” that have been made. A rock and a hard place, springs to mind. #NEU#teacherstrikes
Teacher: SATS are awful. The are not an accurate measure of a child’s ability. So stressful. We should get rid of them.
Same teacher: Look at our SATS results, aren’t they amazing! So proud!
🤦♂️

consistent systems in place across school, but it’s probably just because you’ve got very able children to begin with. I wonder how many of these amazing results contain non-English speaking refugees who arrived at the end of Year 4? 🤨 #SATs
You don’t see many tweets from schools whose SATS results are in the 40/50/60% range. They should be no less proud compared to those who scored 100% in everything. It doesn’t mean they didn’t work hard. It doesn’t mean you’re a better teacher. It might mean you’ve got good…
@danicquinn It’s a very well-planned & structured routine which involves me getting up at 0545, making sure I am completely ready, to be on hand at 0630 when my partner gets ready, in case the boy is awake early. Boy goes to nursery for 0730. We don’t get to school until gone 8am. It’s hard.
The latest teachers strike in England is today. 3 mins on what's happened to teachers' pay since 2012. The average teachers' salary has reduced in real terms - and more so than some other professions. Produced by Michael Cox, Rob England, Robert Cuffe. https://t.co/Kg3nSo3agh
I have just signed the @NEUnion Replace Ofsted petition. We must create a new accountability system that supports schools and pupils, not punishes them. https://t.co/2mGTtkASkV #LetTeachersTeach#ReplaceOfsted
