One of the greatest flexes of my entire life has nothing to do with money, business, or financial success. It’s that my 22year old daughter calls me the GOAT.
If people only knew who I was when that young lady was little.
I was an addicted, broken little boy living in a grown man’s body.
I wasn’t a present father. I wasn’t the man I needed to be. I was spiritually, physically, and financially undisciplined.
And I take full responsibility for that.
No excuses. No blaming my past. No pointing fingers.
I was a sloppy man who needed to get his shit together.
And eventually, that’s exactly what I did.
I made a decision to change my life.
Spiritually. Physically. Financially.
Not overnight. Not through motivational speeches. Through years of consistency, discipline, accountability, and doing the work.
And I never looked back.
Today, at 50 years old, having my daughter call me the GOAT means more to me than any financial accomplishment I’ve ever achieved.
Because I know who I used to be.
And I know the work it took to become the man I am today.
I share this because somebody reading this right now believes it’s too late.
Too late to change. Too late to become a better father. Too late to rebuild their life. Too late to get their shit together.
Listen to me, Warrior.
As long as GOD puts breath in your lungs, you have an opportunity to become a better version of yourself.
You cannot go back and change the father you were yesterday.
But you can decide what kind of father you will be today.
Your greatest accomplishment in life may not be the wealth you accumulate, but becoming someone your children are proud to call their father.
It’s never too late.
Get up. Get disciplined. Get right with GOD. Get your shit together.
Your family is relying on you.
Warrior, rise. GET YOUR SHIT TOGETHER
A stray cat named Masha became a real-life hero in Obninsk, Russia, after saving an abandoned baby left freezing in the snow.
When residents heard the long-haired tabby’s loud, nonstop meowing, they discovered a newborn infant inside a cardboard box. Masha had climbed in and curled up against the baby, using her own body heat to keep him warm and protect him from deadly hypothermia.
Paramedics confirmed the baby was healthy thanks to the cat’s vigilance. Witnesses were amazed when Masha even tried to follow the child into the ambulance, refusing to leave his side. The heartwarming story quickly spread, and locals showered Masha with treats and affection, proudly calling her the neighborhood’s guardian angel.
A man who lacks consistency and discipline becomes a risk to the very family he is supposed to protect. Spiritually. Physically. Financially.
Your family should not have to suffer because you refuse to master yourself. Discipline creates stability. Consistency creates predictability. Both create security.
Your family deserves all three.
Lock in, Warrior. Your family is counting on you.
Two years ago Jake Bauers told his agent he was retiring. The plan was that his wife would go back to teaching and he would stay home with their kid.
Three days later she told him she was pregnant, so he went back to work instead. For the insurance.
Tonight he hit the go ahead home run in the National League Championship Series.
Here is the whole thing.
He is from Newport Beach, California, and he went to Marina High School in Huntington Beach. San Diego took him in the 7th round.
Then seven organizations in 11 years. He hit for the cycle with Cleveland once. He has also been traded four times, sent down, taken off a 40 man roster and signed to three different minor league deals.
He is a career .224 hitter.
Two years ago he hit .199 with 118 strikeouts, and he decided that was enough.
He figured the last good swing of his career was a home run he hit in a wild card game that October. He was fine with that being the end of it.
Here is how he describes what happened next.
"She tells me she's pregnant."
And then this.
"Obviously, she wasn't going back to work, so we decided I was going to keep playing."
And the reason, in four words.
"We needed health insurance."
So he did not retire. Milwaukee took him off the roster that November anyway. He went into free agency, re-signed a minor league deal in January, and made the team out of spring training.
This year he hit .266 with 26 home runs and 86 RBI and an .873 OPS.
He is 31 years old and it is the best season of his life by a wide margin.
In game 2 of this series he fouled off pitch after pitch against Yoshinobu Yamamoto, 12 of them in one at bat.
Here is what he said about that.
"I decided that he wasn't going to get me."
And here is what he said about his wife a few days ago.
"We have two kids, so she's holding it down at home by herself a lot of the time, which is a lot."
And this.
"She stuck by me this whole time when it wasn't always easy."
And then he said this about himself.
"I wasn't always the best husband. I wasn't always the best father."
Here is the honest part. He is still a .224 hitter for his career and one great season does not erase 11 years of being almost good enough. He had not homered once in this postseason before tonight.
But the Milwaukee Brewers beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 6 to 2 and they are up three games to none.
A man quit baseball two years ago.
His wife got pregnant, they needed the insurance, and he went back to work.

How often do you see an orchestra give a kid a standing ovation? How often do you see grown men cry? This is far and away the best I've ever heard this sung. The arrangement is exceptional. Way better than the original
Glenn Gould has been known as "the best hummer in the pianists".
He is truly one of the greatest pianists of the last century. We are truly fortunate to be able to see this.

SOMETIMES A UPS DRIVER DELIVERS MORE THAN JUST PACKAGES!
Most of us see UPS drivers rushing from one delivery to the next, trying to finish their routes on time.
But this driver reportedly took time out of his day to help save a cow in trouble.
Watching him gently comfort the animal afterward is what really makes this video special.
His job is to deliver packages, but that doesn’t mean he can’t stop and make a difference.
Sometimes the most important delivery of the day isn’t a package. It’s an act of kindness.
Dear father GOD, we thank you for this beautiful Thursday. Another day to be present in your gift of life. We pray for yoir wisdom over our thoughts actions and behaviors. We walk by faith and not by sight. We will use our free will to expand consciousness and not repeat it.
In Jesus name, amen.
