It’s comin yet for a’ that.
@paulhutcheon It’s really simple, if the Scottish parliament passes the vote then it should be enacted. Either you respect the sovereignty of the Scottish parliament or you don’t.
@ivor_bacon@Tom_Rowsell Totally agree with you. I do think England will benefit from it too. Like I said the English need to get back to being proud of their identity , culture and history. Britain hasn’t help that.
@ivor_bacon@Tom_Rowsell The Scottish demographics are clear, large yes voters in all age groups 45 and younger. Only the older generation is pro union. Yes vote has being polling higher in every poll recently. Not to mention Northern Ireland is now majority catholic for the first time. It’s happening.
@ivor_bacon@Tom_Rowsell That’s my point you shouldn’t be, the British identity isn’t strong enough. Promote your English culture, history and identity. Britain won’t exist in 20 years
Westminster’s called the shots for too long... but Scotland’s been watching.
They said staying in the UK kept us in the EU.
They said energy would be cheaper.
They said we were a union of equals.
Enough talk. It’s time to banish Westminster.
85% of Scotch whisky exports are shipped through England and not from Scottish ports.
30 years ago, 90% went from Scottish ports.
Just another example of the way Scottish jobs and economic value are plundered by England.
BREAKING: Scottish Labour have rejected proposals to give equal support to Grangemouth oil refinery and Scunthorpe's British Steel works.
Not one Labour MSP backed a motion in Holyrood urging the UK Government to intervene
Fuck Grangemouth eh?
Labour will give private companies £2.5 billion in England but won't give £600m to save Grangemouth saying it's...... a private company?
The UK last balanced its budget in the fiscal year 2001-2002. This was the last time the UK government generated enough tax revenue to cover its regular, day-to-day spending. Only 6 times in 70 years!
The SNP government has balanced the books every year for 18 years.
Kames Cook on BBC News just now reporting on the oil and gas saying with the new Jackdaw oil platform ready to be launched is proof there's plenty of oil to be pumped from the north sea.
Didn't all the yoons say it would run out by 2019?
They did.
They lied.
The largest oil producer has no refineries. The largest whisky producer has no trade deals. The largest energy producer has the highest energy bills.
The most energy rich country has the lowest public spending and lowest average salary.
Unionists? Reserved matters??
😮 CEO of Octopus energy on Sky News yesterday morning -
“If we did location pricing, every region would be cheaper
Scotland would go from the most expensive electricity in Europe - to the cheapest.”
Electricity just got incredibly expensive, almost £1300 per Mwh. Scotland is currently exporting over 2000Mw to the rUK.
A value of £2.6 million per hour.
Meanwhile Scotland's net zero targets are hit as Peterhead is flat out keeping the lights on in Liverpool.
