even if the pens still aren't good enough to make the playoffs at this point I would pay a protected 1st to watch Erik Karlsson instead of Jeff Petry and Mikael Granlund lol
the pens had better buy out granlund because i will not watch a Granlund/Eller/Carter line. i won't do it. i will turn off my TV in 45 second increments
too many people are enamored with the penguins future middle of the first round picks and refuse to believe the team is going to be dog water in four years.
go get erik karlsson. give sidney crosby another crack. we won’t ever see this era of penguins hockey again.
I get more annoyed at the backpedaling on the expansion draft than anything. Like everyone expected a team headlined by Nate Schmidt & James Neal to win the West in Year 1.
@AGretz Obvious penalty occurs. NHL announcers: “Yeah I don’t know, he got high sticked in the visor and not the mouth so it shouldn’t be a penalty based on vibes.”
Personally, I'm happy that today's hockey isn't aspiring to emulate the slowest era of the sport where nearly every superstar had their career dampened by severe injury and a quarter of the lineups were used to inflict pain rather than actually playing the game at hand
I will say it again for the 900th time. If you want Fleury next year you don’t know anything about hockey or what this team needs and you are stuck living in the past.
Get it together
“oh really, you think dumoulin and carter are bad? interesting. then why do i deploy them in tough minutes against the other team’s best players? huh, smart guy?”
ron hextall is the definition of incompetence
•gave away mccann in expansion draft
•signed brock mcginn
•re-signed kasperi kapanen
•missed out on chychrun because he didn’t clear cap space
•traded for a bad forward with a bad contract to make up for it
Wife: “YOU DID NOT PREPARE ME FOR THAT AT ALL.”
Me: “yeah, I wanted you to start the show the same way I started the game.”
Wife: “DISTRAUGHT?!”
Me: “yes.”
Overall the Pens looked great last night, but ONE thing still concerns me.
The third line was on the ice for more shot attempts against, more shots against, more scoring chances against, and more high danger chances against than the ENTIRE rest of the team combined.
