I let Viola know, but I still donβt think she understands social media.
β¬οΈBeen in a dark place lately,
Drawing again has felt like finding a little light. β¨
Real life got so heavy that I had to put art down for far longer than I wanted, just to keep things afloat.
But Hidden Curves has always been my little story about creativity surviving in the shadows, even when life tries to squeeze it out of you.
I think I needed this one.
@Colorbl1ndVamp Thank you...that means a lot. π₯Ή
I can't wait to immerse myself back into the studio as things settle down and create more Hidden Curves pages.
@Colorbl1ndVamp Exactly⦠It takes so much time and effort to create that it can easily feel like it's wasted. But then you make art again and feel the self-perpetuating joy of creating, and realize that, in the end, it's OK to do it completely for yourself.
@JamesYoungcomix Oh, it is definitely getting finished. 100%. But, just had a several months long hiatus due to a loss in the family that took a bit to get my momentum back.
@0rbitten That's the best mindset for
But, for some people, it's the getting back into the swing of it after some time away. I find with drawing and writing you get momentum if it's a daily practice and it's far easier to stay consistent.
@LilLegionDood Haha absolutely, she's carrying quite a weight on her chest and she still gets up to face the day! An inspiration for us all! π
And thanks for the kind words.
@ZupSky Totally! She's definitely my muse character and has come to represent my own journey with creativity.
Looking forward to sharing more on that within the comic.
I'm glad it connects and appreciate the kind words! π
@ARRABBIATAHOE Going through the same thing... when my mother was in hospice I could not draw for months, but finally overcame the resistance and put pencil to paper recently. You should be proud of yourself to have the strength to keep creating. Sending well wishes.
