I wrote books about Manchester United in the 70s, 80s & 90s. Thought it was about time I got stuck into the noughties one. I've been meeting the players and speaking to them about a remarkable time at MUFC.

Trevoh Chalobah never really liked football and came to it late, sometimes crying in the car after training because he felt he was not good enough.

After moving to England and living in one room with his parents and siblings, he went on to play more than 100 times for Chelsea and was in England’s World Cup squad.

He talks to @AndyMitten about his Chelsea exit, working under Cesc Fabregas at Como and taking a dream board with him to matches.

@lauriewhitwell @utdreport They do it because they’re consistently thieving, faceless, parasites.

At look at Barça, who've won every game they've played this season, averaging over 4 goals per game.
A big one tonight - away at PSG. Then Real Madrid at home Sunday.

@MUFCRedDevilsMX yes, you struggle to get back to manchester using public transport. and this game is often played at inconvenient times. hundreds of fans missed a goal there a few years ago as they had to leave early to take the last train to manchester

@paidnfull147 Why does my skin colour matter?

[Andy Mitten @AndyMitten]

Leeds Utd 1 MUFC 1. Same result as last season, but it's two wins from 10. Better in the first half and deserved to be ahead, but these are small mercies.
Tough week, tough times.
Como away next.

[Andy Mitten @AndyMitten]

@halftimepies It was a tweet at half time. He hadn't made any subs when I tweeted it.

[Andy Mitten @AndyMitten]

Injury hit MUFC are not losing at half time. Haven't conceded an early goal. Nor a daft one. Haven't played badly or lost control.
In fact, so far it's a tactically smart performance at a tough venue following a bad week. The mercies are small.
