I filed with @Americas_Party of Texas on Dec. 11th; the party filed with @TXsecofstate on Jan. 2nd and all of our party's signatures must be turned in by May 28.

When I was citizen lobbying in Austin last session, I found myself both agreeing and disagreeing with Rep Cain, but on different issues. The biggest disagreement came re: homeschool lege, as I support @TX4HSFREEDOM.

@K1Lawren @Americas_Party Texas ballot access law requires new parties to find candidates willing to commit before a single signature is gathered. Very few people are willing to file paperwork 6+ months in advance, when there's ZERO guarantee of eventually being on the Nov ballot.

I decided not to announce publicly until the party filed with the @TXsecofstate on Jan. 2nd declaring our intention to seek ballot access in 2018.

@TKovachNashvil @TomHoefling @Americas_Party I wish I had that high visibility at the moment, not there yet. The opponent he is referring to is one of the GOP primary opponents. What's ironic is that unnamed opponent's son is a pilot for MarineOne and flies the POTUS around.
