@GShaneMorris Rocky and Star Wars ushered in a golden age of cinema that ran from about 1976 - 2001. Hollywood in the mid-70s was mired in dark, foreboding productions. Rocky and SW flipped the script, so to speak.
@andrewtwalker What about leaders who not only endorse homosexuality and abortion, but who don’t get the love and humility aspects right, live a life a unrepentant debauchery, and are not confessionally Christian (saying they have no need for forgiveness and good works earn salvation)?
@IVMiles Boy, Jimmy Carter dying at 100 has set you off today. Expected more from you. My feed is riddled with your crankiness on Carter. My Dad voted for Ford too, but I hardly consider it one of his greatest feats. My Grandfather voted for Carter - oh the shame!
@billjamesonline It’s closer than you think. Saberhagen was too inconsistent with his bad years every other year. But his good years were better than Felix’s.
@samueld_james But the retort would be, “I watched it online, so I didn’t miss anything.” But it’s not the same as actually being there. People know that intuitively, but if pushed they want the proof text.
@samueld_james This kinda relates to live-streaming church services. Yesterday was a great service at our church with a powerful testimony and a clear Gospel sermon. I thought - today is why you don’t want to miss church any Sunday, because you never know what you’ll miss. 1/2
@DavidBahnsen Watched the first episode and could tell it was going to be a highly exaggerated, gratuitous, fantasy-billed-as-real-life, and I was like nah, I have better things to waste time on.
@jaredcwilson Not to pile on yesterday’s controversy of the day, but the post itself is evidence that he continues to be disqualified. He should not be teaching the Word of God.
@bonchieredstate Starting to agree. Although I hate the time changes, I like DST in the summer because I get more yard work done in the evening. Standard time will mean 4:45 AM sunrises in the summer. Nope, don’t like that.
@aaron_renn I’ve lived in the Columbus area for 30 years, and infrastructure/road investment has always been an issue here. The I-70/71/315 downtown split has literally been under construction for 25 of those 30 years and they still have not figured it out.
