Hi I'm Andy Burnham. Your new King. There is nothing I like more than to talk about Andy Burnham. Ask me anything about Andy Burnham*.
(*no policy questions.)
Soon Labour will have a difficult decision.
Option 1: An arrogant socialist with glasses from the north
Option 2: An arrogant socialist with glasses from the south
Choose wisely, you weirdos.
It has been the privilege of my life to serve as the Chancellor of the Exchequer.
The economy today is stronger, fairer and more resilient because of the choices we have taken as a Labour Government over the past two years.
Stability restored, investment delivered and reform to our economy under way. I said when I was appointed Chancellor that I would judge my time in office if the lives ordinary working class people have been improved. Iβm proud to say that they have.
And to every young woman and girl let my time in office show there should be no ceilings on your ambitions, your hopes or your dreams.
I wish the very best of luck to my successor, Andy and his cabinet. You have my full support, and I will continue to play my part in helping this Labour government deliver the change the country needs.
Hey all you Burnhamites,
I bring good news!
July 20th will be hence forth known as Andy's Day.
No, you don't get a holiday, but it's a chance to reflect and remember how how lucky you are to have me and my eyelashes.
Thanks Guys.
Andy Burnham will not speak from behind a lectern I am told.
I'm spitballing potential alternatives.
Does he intend to TED talk it and walk up and down?
Will he sing, Evita style, from a window?
Morning my little Burnhamites,
A reminder after my coronation today please don't forget to change your living room picture.
Thanks guys.
Your pal, Andy.
Old. New.
Andy Burnham has a big bold vision of a country that works better for ordinary people, taking the pressure of family budgets, putting power and agency in the hands of communities. ππ»
