Both game intelligence and personality are constantly mediating three mental skills (and are mediated by these three mental skills):

1. Attention - influenced by game intelligence because you tend to pay attention to what you know. Influencing game intelligence because you become more intelligent as a result of what you’ve paid attention to

2. Activation - mental energy - if you’re not alert to the ever-changing cues in your environment you cannot play intelligently - ready to anticipate and ready to make quick, accurate decisions

3. Action-execution - approach behaviour vs avoidant behaviour - when coaches talk about ‘personality’ and ‘character’ they’re largely talking about the ability to play with energy-forward approach behaviour under pressure (purposefully, positively, proactively)
