At the UN Committee for Food Security today in Rome and proudly told New Zealand’s story of family farming, science and innovation and that farmings place in food security is missing from the dialogue coming out of the meetings @FAR_arable @NuffieldNZ@NuffieldInt

Just over a year ago we put an add in the paper and asked our community to come help us run our farm more sustainably, 10-12 members of the community come open farm ever 6 weeks to have open book discussions on what we could do!! Its been incredibly rewarding for them and us
I’m halfway through my Nuffield year and really encourage people to have a go. It’s profoundly changed my world view, introduced me to incredible people, left me gobsmacked by the scale and complexity of globe food, and made me very proud to call NZ home @NuffieldNZ
