My daddy died when I was 8.
I live with NF1 which causes a variety of health problems including epilepsy, vertigo, migraines, anxiety, and a learning disability.
But even with all that I have faced my joy is still in Jesus Christ.
It isn’t because life got easier. It’s because He never left.
If you’re in a hard season: He won’t leave you either. Keep holding on. God has you.
Don’t ever give up.
Take one day at a time.
One breath at a time.
One prayer at a time.
God doesn’t want you to give up and neither do I.
I love you all.
I’m living proof that God works in ways that we may not understand right away but ends up being a blessing.
I have NF1, a rare genetic disorder that causes benign tumors to form on the nerves. It is the cause of my epilepsy, migraines, and anxiety, among other things.
I have struggled a lot and have prayed for God to heal me for decades. In the past several years I realized it wasn’t in His plans to heal me and that’s okay. I have come to peace with that.
God has blessed me in other ways. I will probably never marry or have children, but that gives me more free time in which to spread the Gospel and be an encouragement to others. Over the past two years on social media I have been able to post many videos and messages of encouragement and spreading the Gospel and have likely reached millions. I have had many people respond and message me to tell me how I have inspired them but tbh it isn’t me… it’s God working through me.
I feel that if I had had a “normal” life and a husband and kids I wouldn’t be able to do what I do and encourage people every day… what I once asked God to heal me of He has turned into a blessing… and I am very grateful for it all. I wouldn’t go back and change a thing. And through it all, I know God’s grace is sufficient.
God is good, all the time. And I will always praise His name.
@Renatta Deuteronomy 31:6
"Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.”
Stay strong, Renatta!💙
Life will deal you some cards you didn’t ask for.
I used to run a 4.3 forty. Now it takes me 4.3 minutes just to blink on command. That wasn’t in my five-year plan.
ALS showed up to my life like an uninvited relative at Thanksgiving. Didn’t call. Didn’t text. Just moved in, ate all the groceries, and rearranged the furniture. And had the nerve to act like I was the inconvenience.
Now here’s the fork in the road:
You either get bitter… or you get better.
Bitter is easy. Bitter tastes like, “Why me?”
Better tastes like, “Watch me.”
Trust me, I’ve had moments. I’ve looked at my situation and thought, “Lord, I went from bench pressing grown men to needing help scratching my nose. This is disrespectful.”
There are days my body feels like it’s buffering. You ever seen the little spinning circle on your computer? That’s my nervous system. Just spinning. “Loading… loading… error.”
I can’t move my arms. I can’t move my legs. My muscles retired early without a pension plan. My calves left a sticky note that said, “We out.”
But here’s the thing.
Bitterness would have me sitting here mad at the world. Mad at football. Mad at God. Mad at gravity. Mad at people walking too fast in front of me like they showing off.
Bitterness would say, “You lost everything.”
Better says, “You still got something.”
I can’t run — but I can speak life.
I can’t lift weights — but I can lift people.
I can’t walk across a room — but I can move hearts across the country.
And let’s be honest… if I’m going to be stuck in this chair, I might as well make it a throne.
Getting better doesn’t mean pretending this doesn’t hurt. Oh, it hurts. Some days I feel like I’ve been drop-kicked by life itself. But I decided if I’m going to feel pain anyway, I might as well turn it into purpose.
You either let what happened to you shrink you…
or you let it shape you.
Life dealt me ALS.
I decided to deal hope.
Because the choice doesn’t belong to fate. It belongs to you.
Every morning I wake up and make a decision. I can be mad that my body doesn’t cooperate… or I can cooperate with my purpose.
And here’s the plot twist:
The enemy thought ALS would make me smaller.
Instead, it made me louder.
So if life has dealt you something you didn’t order, don’t send yourself to the bitterness buffet. That meal will rot your soul.
Stand up — or sit up like me — and choose better.
Because at the end of the day, you don’t control the cards…
but you absolutely control how you play the hand.
And baby, I’m still in the game.

@Maddie7787@allenanalysis I want to see justice, but at the same time not if it's from made up accusations.
I truthfully believe some people are more capable of lying than Trump himself is when it comes to the economy.
A Message From Me to You
Today is one of the hardest days I’ve had in a long time. I don’t know if it was the dream I had last night or the reality I woke up to this morning, but something hit me deep. I’m fighting through a heaviness that I can’t shake, and I need to be honest about it.
I feel depressed in a way I’ve never experienced before. It’s a kind of loneliness that sits in the soul, even when people are around. Unless someone lives this battle every single day, it’s impossible to understand the emotional toll it takes just to keep going. I fight like hell, every day, only to watch my physical condition continue to decline. And today, that truth hurts more than usual.
I know things can get better. I know this moment won’t last forever. But right now is all I can see, and right now feels like a deep pit. I finally understand what depression really is and the cloud it casts over everything. The emotional pain is something I never imagined I would feel.
I’m doing my best to look toward heaven, even when my head feels too heavy to lift. I’m asking for your prayers—not out of weakness, but because I need every bit of strength I can get. I appreciate every person who holds me up, even quietly.
Tanja sees me every day, but she has no idea how deep this pit is. I don’t want to burden her with all of it, but I also can’t pretend I’m not struggling. So I’m saying it plainly: I need prayer. I need covering. I need someone to whisper my name in their quiet time.
If you’re reading this, I’m asking you to lift me up. I’m fighting, but today the fight is heavy. And I don’t want to face it alone.
