“We ask suffrage not as a favor, not as a privilege, but as a right based on the ground that we are human beings.” Charlotte Rollin @NMAAHC @ERACoalition #EqualRightsAmendment
Stop calling the sexual slavery of women and girls "work", @guardian.
"Work" does not involve allowing strangers to penetrate and violate your body. This is paid rape.

Read CATW's report highlighting the content of the online reviews written by men who patronize prostitution, aka sex buyers, in New York State. The reviews reveal the misogyny, racism, sexual harassment & coercion sex buyers inflict w/ impunity. https://t.co/1CHJUeemy7
Making prostitution legal in Rhode Island: The out-of-state money behind the push — and how survivors are trying to stop it https://t.co/0MIxL8U4MI via @BostonGlobe
An excellent piece by @tainabienaime of @CATWIntl on the sex trade - a system of exploitation that commodifies vulnerable women, children, and LBTQ people, particularly people of color. #InternationalWomensDay https://t.co/jshhIACwtU
For 25 mins survivors listened to @iamjohnoliver reduce their experience to a bunch of offensive jokes in attempt to normalize the sex trade. Now it’s time for John to #ListenToSurvivors AGAIN, survivors want accountability 4 exploiters, not those sold. https://t.co/NyblQfnciL

When @guardian asked @SalazarSenate,#NYS sponsor of Decrim of Sex Trade Bill, abt traumatized victims unable to testify agst their traffickers, answer was: “That’s not our problem." Makes sense. Supporting sex buyers & pimps over victims. @EqualityModelNY https://t.co/82EVwhGARL
“The sex buyers are often very violent and abusive. I never knew what was going to happen. The only thing I knew was I was going to be used as an empty vessel.” Cristian Eduardo @SFFNY shttps://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2022/feb/27/sex-work-new-york-decriminalize-safely
He sexually harassed a woman subway rider, asking “Hey, mami, why don’t you talk to me?” When she didn't, he shoved feces in her face and on her head, then called her a "bitch." Why is this not a hate crime investigation? #WomensSafetyIsPublicSafety https://t.co/wmyrMNpofg
This is a reckless and ignorant piece with so much misinformation. Do your full research before you promote one side. People in prostitution deserve comprehensive services and support, not to have their exploiters decriminalized #equalitymodelny
Your focus on decriminalizing those that sell sex and violence at the hands of police is spot on, but you failed to mention that most violence, abuse and rape is at the hands of sex buyers! Decriminalizing buyers increases this risk- or is this an acceptable workplace hazard?
@iamjohnoliver@LastWeekTonight Is it a coincidence that your segment supporting Full decrim CONVENIENTLY left out that this bill also decriminalizes pimping? Let me guess- you think a pimp is just like a manager at subway?
@CATWIntl@GAATW_IS@iamjohnoliver@LastWeekTonight Shocker. Another privileged white male makes the case for allowing more white men to readily access and purchase the bodies of mostly women of color who have little to no other means of survival. How truly progressive! #OldestOppression
It’s Women’s History Month! So when public officials talk about their plans to protect public safety by focusing on violent crime, ask them what they’re doing to combat gender-based violence. #WomensSafetyIsPublicSafety
