The children of a man who died in the devastating Nova Scotia floods are speaking out.
"In my eyes, this was an avoidable situation," says the 25-year-old son, going so far as to consider it a 'free-for-all' for those in danger.

Possible unpopular opinion: It's really fucking weird we don't talk about income and salaries but we expect young people to grow up to be financially literate and we basically make guesses at what we should be paid for jobs.
During the flooding in Nova Scotia on July 21 and 22, it took two hours to issue an alert from the time a volunteer deputy fire chief called for one.

After being told, "If they're humans, we have busses to go get them. If they're dogs, it is what it is," Lisa Parsons ran through bushes all the way from Larry Uteck to Pampered Paws Inn to rescue 18 dogs. I'll have her story coming up @weathernetwork#TantallonFire

A beautiful tribute from the Cole Harbour Bantam A Wings who honoured Cst. Heidi Stevenson at a private location while practicing appropriate social distancing.
Cst. Stevenson's son Connor was a member of the team.
Our hearts go out to them. ❤️

After a disappointing loss to a veteran Port City Pigeons ball hockey team the boys came up short on their goal of making it to nationals. First time playing 5 on 5 ball hockey as a team but it won’t be the last and we’ll be back next year with the same goal. #DoItForPicot
