To celebrate #AgLiteracyWeek, we had two very special visitors from @elco_ffa today! Miss Kayla and Mr. Bryant read us a story called “The Day the Farmers Quit”. We learned how important farmers are and what we would lose if we didn’t have them. Thank you farmers!
We are sorry to say that there won’t be any turkeys for Thanksgiving this year…we can’t find them! Today in second grade, we helped disguise the turkeys so they don’t get eaten at Thanksgiving dinner!
We are being Math Detectives 🕵️♂️ today! The Dream Snatcher is loose and we have to solve clues to figure out where she is hiding so she can be brought to justice!
We had such a fun lesson with Mrs. Brosius this afternoon! We played a game called “Meet Your School Counselor”. We learned all about how Mrs. Brosius can help us and what her job is all about!
What a great start to our Friday! We had a special assembly with @HollySerioMusic and it was a blast! We sang songs about how to make everyday a great day!
Today in 2nd grade, we had a very special visit from Miss Julia, a teacher for the visually impaired. Miss Julia taught us how to be “sighted guide” and all about braille. The students even got to make a letter on the braille machine!
Check out these readers!! Some of them chose to read in their “caves” while others chose to read on their “clouds”! It was their first time practicing read-to-self, and they rocked it! Way to go 2nd grade!
@mradamwelcome @elcosd @PalmyraSchools Powerful message this morning! I put up a new barrier this morning and disconnected my school email from my cell phone. Thank you for your powerful words!
Today was our last Raider Reader event. We had the honor of having Miss Lucy come visit us! We will miss our Raider Readers! @Room114Bickel @ELCOHSLIBRARY #ELCOtogether
