It bothers me when I hear young employees talk about work/life balance at an early stage of their lives. Work your butt off at the beginning, make money, save it and then later in life aim for work/life balance as you will need it with kids and partners etc. this is my POV
Those 70% managers must be insulated (read: happy in a bubble) from the current labor market and hiring trends if they’re considering FIRING or even using any penalty that could incite turnover—over letting someone do their work from home???
Y’all know WFH comes with, in a lot of cases, flexibility to do stuff during the day—like community hours, going to the grocery, talk to neighbors?
Also remote communication in WFH in my experience is FREAKING HIGH and CONSTANT.
@shvetaraju I do not understand it. I’m fine with working from home once in a while but to do that everyday would be very depressing and isolating, not to mention, in most jobs it’s important to get to know your colleagues
