@HelenTerfSwerf@Toibin1@WomensSpaceIre In control when it suits them to absolve themselves of any wrongdoing and accountability. Suddenly it’s the parents choice! 😡
@Toibin1@jayjaycafe It supposed to be an approved guide promoted by the state which a lot of parents would trust and yet she says it’s the parents responsibility what kids read. Talk about totally absolving herself of any accountability. Do we have the worst politicians in the world, I think we do.
Mayo TD Paul Lawless has criticised the EU Migration Pact and called for the new Dáil to vote on it before it takes effect at the end of June.
The Aontú TD, who was not in the previous parliament, said the pact was passed in 2024 by a narrow margin of just seven votes.
He argued that the newly elected Dáil should have the chance to debate and vote on the agreement, which he believes has major implications for migration policy, national sovereignty, and public services.
Lawless stated that while a referendum would be ideal, the current Dáil must at minimum be allowed to reconsider the pact. “The Dáil, not the EU, should set our migration rules,” he said. “The pact infringes on our sovereignty.”
He raised concerns about potential obligations on Ireland to accept more migrants or provide funding, uncertain costs to the State, and pressures on housing, healthcare, and other services — particularly given Ireland’s economic profile. He also called for greater flexibility on other EU commitments, such as climate targets.
Lawless concluded that newly elected TDs should be given a say before the pact comes into force.
@JWilliamsw35252@Sarah87126059@griptmedia You know why the riot started and it certainly wasn’t because of a media article 🙄. Incidentally even The Irish Times has got it wrong and removed articles from time to time. You people are just obsessed with Gript. https://t.co/Z9DMWXWNv7
@Niall_Boylan@MinsyMin22 She’s a disgrace, most parents would trust if books are recommended by a state organisation for a particular age group that it must be ok and age appropriate. She’s putting it on parents when she knows exactly what Ben is asking, shes taking zero responsibility or accountability
@chief_uzumaki Have some respect for your neighbours, no one would do this in my estate because we all respect each other enough to live quietly together. No one minds a bbq and people socialising, but this is basically a nightclub in a garden, totally ridiculous.
@spelltris@CelticSceptic@HolyJazus I think it’s you that is childish, your comments are frankly embarrassing for a supposed grown woman. Going on about getting laid, cringe, bet you’re single too and can’t figure out why no man wants you.
@BadHareDays You’re clueless. Are you really using the example of burnt out cars and looting as if to say they represent the majority of people that have concerns over immigration? Disingenuous to say the least. Also those looters were in fact mostly foreign nationals. Get your facts straight
@Juleswynnes@liverbird17 Some of the comments on here are just pure bitter, listen to yourself. They probably did it due to cost reasons and I don’t think a child missing a few days of school is going to affect their overall grades. Get a grip. Planes are for everyone not just cranky old people. 🙄
@God2Evolution@BGatesIsaPyscho Peaceful party? That’s not how you treat your neighbours, such disrespect and no consideration for the houses all around them. Typical entitled attitude.
@IrishmanIRL@DublinTaxiDave What a nightmare for any real Irish people living there. Just zero consideration for any neighbours who don’t want to listen to that trash.
@ZzVvbbbbn Yes because knife culture is such a welcome addition to our society. 🙄. It’s not that long ago since an almost identical fatal stabbing happened within that community. I think they should be having honest conversations themselves about this problem.
