WAIVE is a film that takes place in a dystopian future ruled by technocratic Marxists. The story follows a young propaganda writer as he ventures into the unknown and liberates his unconscious self with the help of a mysterious digital narcotic. I wrote the film as an exploration of the human spirit damaged by a life filled with ethical and moral compromises.
In another lifetime I was a screenwriter. During that period I wrote two episodic series' and numerous feature length films.
I partnered with Dominican director, Angel Alvarez in 2021 to bring one of those scripts to life. We assembled a small team and spent three weeks in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains shooting one of the craziest ideas I ever put to paper.
It was one of those rare moments where the stars aligned and brought together a handful of brilliant artists to create something special. Our director, actors and sound designer took my original vision and made it infinitely brighter than anything I thought possible.
There was an unmistakable energy in the air while filming; the electricity of an unseen force manipulating the world around us to form the story we wanted to tell.
I stopped screenwriting because much like music, I detest the movie business. I have a deep, undying love for art and artists, but I have a bitter hatred for the industry that latches onto extraordinary people and steals their soul.
I am proud to say we made this film without any of those people. I'm also proud to say that after three years of our post production team working relentlessly to complete this film, we can now present our first teaser trailer.
Sadly, this film is more relevant now than when I wrote it in 2021.
WAIVE: Wearable Artificial Intelligence and Virtual Environment
Just finished watching the last episode of "Pluto”.
It's wonderful! This is the soul of Tezuka sensei! Naoki Urasawa's prayer to carry on his legacy! Mr. Maruyama's love for the production! The passionate performances of the voice actors! Everything has come to fruition! This is not just a fighting robot anime or hero anime. This is Japanese manga and animation.
It should be mandatory for restaurants to list calories, macros, micros, and ingredients for their food.
This alone would encourage people to be more conscious about their health and educate themselves on what's going into their bodies.
Preferably, people would eat less at the places that feed poison, encouraging restaurants to be conscious about their impact on humanity.
People would be able to know, choose, and moderate the "bad" foods and fill the majority of their diet with the good.
The standard for food being served and eaten would increase across the board, maybe.
The general health of the population would increase across the board, maybe.
But we all know how profitable the "health care" industry is and how much a healthy population would threaten that.
